The very rare peaceful moment was shattered when the feeling of something .... wrong over-whelmed her. She shot up with the speed she lacked earlier. 'Something does not feel right. It just feels... it can't be!' Raged filled her as she rocketed down the streets, like a hound hunting its prey.

Killa scram out in rage at the events that had taken place. She needed release from this anger. She needed blood to calm her. Drawing up her veil she went looking for Sparrow. She would challenge the women who had repeatedly chosen to insult her.

Her wild search found her in a deserted town square in Old Town.
Well, almost deserted.
A man stood on the opposite entrance.
She snarled, "Dardus!"
Dardus was tallish. He had short brown hair the color of bark. All in all, he would be hansom, if not the maniac gleam in his green eyes.
A laugh that matched his eyes echoed though the square. "My Darling! How nice to see you! I knew you'd come find me! Its really been to long!"
Sparrow growled "How DARE you show your face to me! After what you did, you think you can just show up here and address me like we have just met in the street?!"
Dardus laughed again "Awww, hostility looks good on you Lov-"
Before he could finish, there was a flash of steel and a long, sleek, elegent, Katana like sword was drawn from it's scabbed that was concealed by the black cloth. The engravings in the blade formed runes of Old that was lost to the new world. The guard was absent and about halfway down the pommel, it curved to almost resemble a revolver grip. The pommel's mouth was shaped like the gaping maw of a lion, ready to devourer all foes.
Dardus fake gasped then laughed "Oh no! So you bear your Fangs at last! Why don't you give us a mighty roar. You really are beautifu-" Another flash of steel and the sword was pommel deep into his chest. Sparrow glaring, her eyes blazing with a spite-filled fire.
Dardus frowned "Tut, tut, tut, you know that that won't work." the smile appeared on his face again. "But now that I've got you this close." A strange feeling enveloped her and she recognized it instantly. Sure enough, she could not move. "But how?! Magik was lost to us!" Dardus tuted again "Have you not felt it! Magik is returning! Slowly but surely!" He grabbed her chin and tilted it up to look at her. "You really are stunning, but I preferred the other you better." He touched his lips to hers- "NO!" A burst of magik broke his spell on her and she pushed away, bringing her sword with her.
Dardus frowned "Now that wasn't very nice!"
Sparrow roared "YOU KILLED MY FAMILY!!"
Silence filled the square for a brief moment.
"They were in the way." Dardus's voice was cold.
"In the way of WHAT?! There is nothing between us! Yes, you fought by my side in the Battles of Old, but that was it! You were only a Brother in Arms! Why, after all of these centuries, are you still after me?!"
Another bout of silence
"Why? WHY?! BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!! I always have & I always will! Why can't you understand this Lion-"
Before he could finish, Sparrow mustered the small amount of magik she had gained and banished him. It was only for a short time, but at least he was gone.
Energy spent, Sparrow fell to her knees, bloodied sword falling to the ground by its forgotten scabbard. Tears she had thought that she had spent flowed down her cheeks.

Killa ran on following her instinct and found herself in a large open place amoung the cities crowded streets. It was a welcome change, but the sight of her injured would have been opponent was unnerving. She ran over to Sparrow and knelled at her side. When she went to touch the girl her eyes flashed wildly and she pulled away. Something was not right. Something here contained a small piece of her heart song. As if someone could also hear the music and direct it as she had long ago learned. A deep growl escaped her throat and she sat down. Waiting for some sign from Sparrow that would signal a willingness to receive her aid.

"Tell me Young Lady,"
The voice was small but firm, her head still hanging low.
"Have you heard the Wars of Old?"

With those simple words a the compiled memories of a thousand lives ripped through her. Her heart began to race, and her eyes rolled back in her head. A agonized cry ripped from her lips as Killa's head fell forward and her consiousness began to falter and slip away.

Sparrow caught her before she could fall to the stones of the square.
Gone was the deep sadness in her eyes, it was replaced with a fierce determination.
"The young should never have to suffer from those dark times."
She pulled Killa up on her back and locked her arms under her legs.
"Even though all of Us were young then to." She whispered to herself as she started off.

Killa's whole frame body convulsed. Hedr mind spun and her eyes rolled.
Minutes passed in this delicate state of mock sanity before her pain settled and her heart calmed enough to speak.
"I've lived the lives of warriors both good and dark from those times so long ago. I ave been and returned. I dare say I am not young," these words were whispered faintly and then Killa fell into a dark slumber.

Sparrow gruffed, hefting Killa back up so she could get a better hold on her.
"Silly Child, memories ancient and old as me you may carry, but you are still physically but a child in the worlds great cycles."
She carried her a small home, its lights off and from the letters spilling out of the box next to the door, abandoned. Sparrow removed the key from her belt with some difficulty, but got the door open non-the-less.
The inside was dark, and a thin layer of dust was beginning to forum.
Sparrow shut the door with her foot and walked to the small, once cozy living room. She kicked the couch to releave it of its dust and sat Killa on it. she herself then sat on what seemed to be a random spot on the floor and waited for Killa to awaken.

Thousands of years passed before her eyes as she lay unconsious.
She fought battles, both won and lost. She toppled civilizations and held power beyond beleif.
She saw the life of fey creatures only imagined by the worlds people now.
She held magic in its entirity within her and it ate away slowly at her soul.
Her quest was revealed.
With a sudden cough and gasp Killa woke. In her once empty hands lay a slip of parchment as old as time. The words she could not read, but it tugged at her and beckoned for another to hold.
Killa rose slowly and walked to Sparrow handing her the odd slip. She siad nothin but her sea blue eyes told stories of wonder. No other color or spark showed at the corners. They were only a blue as pure and clean as summer air.

The sudden surge of magik flowing back into her veins felt like her soul was being punched. Sparrow sucked in a lost breath, but relaxed after the initial shock. A pleasant warmth spread though her body, a feeling she had so dearly missed for nearly 300 years. A was as if a void in her soul had been filled. She was broken from her though when she heard a choked gasp from the couch and saw Killa rise. When the parchment was handed to her, she saw the ancient script and she was somewhat shocked to see it. She reached for it tentatively, handing it with as much care as she could. She looked up to ask Killa why she had this or even where she found it. She could barely restrain her gasp when she saw her eyes, the clean blue cutting into her very being. Magik. "By the Gods."

Kill blinked.
She could not remember anything of substance. It was if her mind had been scoured clean. Memories were like the fluttering of wings, delicate and quiickly gone.
She smiled benevolenty at the women as she handed her the scrap. Killa's eyes shone with their own light and spoke of wisdom. Her whole being had taken on a new air with the release of her lifelong burden and for once she was seen as she was, a non human entity.
With the return of power so where eyes unveiled and truths revealed. The delicate tip of her ears once hidden behind a hazy veil now stood out at a crowning mark of her heritage. The lithe grace she had always been knowen for shone through like a beacon at night calling ships to port. She radiated a silent power and diginity.
And now when she spoke the was a musical lit to her voice as if she had learned to sing before speaking and thus the words always hinted at a tune.
"I don't know you madam but an introduction seems due. I am..." she fell silent, "I am as I am and stand before you. I stand ready to serve, my heart is true."
The whole time she was unaware she did not speak the New Kingdom tounge but that of the ancient elven tribes. Nor was she aware the end note of her introduction was a tradition as old as time.
"As I swear I know you well a name is due" She countinued to smile softly as if all was good and wonderful. Which to her it trully was, all was quite well.

Sparrow stuttered "M-milady!" She knelled "P-please excuse my Elvish, for I have not used it for some time!"
"I am-" Her mind stalled, should she tell the truth? Or keep the facade?
....... The truth
She began to unwrap the magic around her body.
When she was finished, her true form was reveled.
Knelling in front of Killa was now a man. His fire-bright orange hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail that went to his shoulder blades. His form was thin, but lean - well toned. The body of a warrior. "Milady," He looked up, deep blue eyes made deeper in contrast with his hair and pale-ish skin. "My name is Lionheart, a Hand of Ræin*. I stand ready to serve, my heart is true."
(* to make the æ, hold Alt and on the number pad ((on the right of the keyboard)) type 145, then release Alt. æææææææ. If you don't like it tell me.)

Killa blinked yet again.
The memories of her many past existences and this contrasted visibly. In her heart she yearned for the plains and the feel of taunt muscle between her thighs, and yet duty called her to a place far to the east.
She was taken aback at the figure kneeling before her. She knew this man in some odd way. It was as if in another time they were close friends of possibly allies. She could not piece together the millions of sharded life that now taunted her.
With a wayward hand she smoothed her top and attempted to remain calm. She was the daughter of Petar and would not shame her clan now.
"I am Killishandra of a time which is now, but in my heart I am Siendra daughter to the creator of this fair land. I know not how all this has come to be good Lionheart and I dare say I think I shall never know, but i hope you know better then I."
She fell silent and looked off into no where. She thought of things new and old. Then like a epiphany a single picture came forth and shook her to her very core with its importance. I was the Laploian? Islands as they once were so long ago. Tall crystal towers spiraling into the sky refracting magik within in their cores. The where a lighting rod, a director, a power house for all things good and wonderful. This place must be her destiny. She gasped and sank to her knees.
"I am the last of the guardians am I not Lionheart? We were once six in strong number before the war. The sons and daughters of Rein. They fell in the wars," tears glistened on her cheeks, "They were so valiant. I was but a child new to the fold. Rein's last show of benevolence in the wane of his power. I destroyed the islands. I sank them into the sea. I should have perished in battle. Why do I live now when they are laid low under Aeo's dark power!"
Her whole frame shuddered and anguish was plastered across her lovely features making her all the more lovely in her deep sorrow.
"Answer me Lionheart! Tell mew why all this is so!"

Lionheart was silent, eyes turned downwards
"Because-"
He looked back up, unshed tears making his eyes glitter.
"Aeo's taint stains this great world, nothing more proves so then my own existence. It takes all that stand in its path." His voice cracked " And those it can't, it slaughters their loved ones or twists their minds till they are but shadows of their former selves."
A pause.
"Milady, you are the flower who shall be the first to be reborn from the ashes of destruction. You shall be our guiding light to a new age." He summoned his sword, and bowed into his kneel, offering his sword in a knightly fashion to Killa. "Siendra, daughter of Rein & Killashandra, daughter of Petar. I swear my fangs to you for you to use as your sword and my immortal body to use as your shield. May my taint cloak your light from all that would wish to harm you."
